Direct answer

The Vortex is a single-user electric chamber. Its official product page, checked on October 6, 2026, shows two prices: USD 97,498 in the introduction and USD 97,998 in the purchase block. Neither is a confirmed offer for your project. What you need next is a dated quote tied to a specific electrical configuration and delivery address.

Site-fit check

Hand the current installation document to a licensed electrician and to the contractors responsible for the condenser and wall penetrations. Together, confirm the delivery path, floor, drainage if needed, ambient limits, heat rejection, noise, permission for exterior equipment, service clearance and who restores the building afterwards.

All published electrical options are 60 Hz. Don't assume they suit a 50 Hz site, and don't treat a matching voltage as proof of compatibility. Outside the US, ask Artica for the supported configuration, certification documents and service arrangement in your country. Free shipping covers the contiguous US only; international freight, Alaska and Hawaii are quoted separately.

04

Operating-cost check

The "under USD 5 per day" figure is Artica's own scenario at Oregon rates. Replace it with your utility tariff and opening schedule, and ask for kWh measured over a documented pull-down, standby and session schedule, with the ambient conditions and any extra room cooling stated. The MCA and published current can't give you that number.

Then add preventive maintenance, wear items, software, insurance, service travel and downtime. Leave promotional revenue estimates out of the cost model.

  • Required local permits and contractors
  • Training format and named deliverables
  • Warranty exclusions and post-year-one service
  • Response and parts process in the buyer's ZIP code
  • Cancellation, deposit and financing conditions

06

Shortlist verdict

The Vortex belongs on an electric-chamber shortlist if your site can take its three-part installation and Artica documents service where you are. The public evidence doesn't support calling it the best chamber, and it isn't enough for a final ownership-cost figure.

07

Match every component to the room plan

Draw the chamber, control engine and outdoor unit as three separate labeled blocks on a current floor plan. The control engine's dimensions are not the chamber's footprint, and neither is the footprint of the installed project. Add service clearance, the path of the open door and the delivery route; a usable room can't be worked out from the chamber rectangle alone.

Attach each contractor's exclusions to the quote comparison, so a similar equipment price can't hide a larger site scope.

Sources and limitations

Price, electrical options and freight limits were rechecked on the official Vortex page on October 6, 2026. This review is based on documents; the equipment was not tested first-hand. Supplier marketing doesn't establish local approval, safe operation or a binding warranty.
