What the current evidence supports
Artica Systems sells electric commercial cryotherapy chambers in the United States. Our research set covers three models: Element, Vortex and Ethos. Unlike many competitors that only quote on request, Artica publishes purchase prices and monthly financing examples, so the range is easy to screen. Whether a model fits still comes down to your site configuration, the contract and local service.
Captured product set
| Model | Format and capacity | Advertised purchase price | Published power | Installation issue to verify |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Element | Electric enclosed, one person | USD 75,998 | 208-240 V single phase; 60 Hz: 40 A / MCA 26 A; 50 Hz: 50 A / MCA 32 A | Final working clearance and local contractor scope |
| Vortex | Electric enclosed, one person | USD 97,498 / USD 97,998 conflict on the page checked October 6, 2026 | 208-240 V, 60 Hz; MCA 50.1 A single phase or MCA 24.9 A three phase | Written price, destination-compatible power, outdoor unit, penetrations and site-specific extras |
| Ethos | Electric enclosed, two people in captured comparison | USD 144,498 | MCA 88 A single phase or MCA 43.1 A three phase | Configuration, delivery path and exact commissioning package |
Element and Vortex were rechecked on October 6, 2026; the Ethos comparison dates from October 1. These are manufacturer publications, not configured quotes. One inconsistency to note: Element advertises shipping as included but also lists separate destination shipping charges, so ask for a written total before comparing prices.
Warranty and service claims to convert into contract fields
Artica's product material mentions lifetime compressor coverage and a 12-month service plan on some models. Turn that into contract terms: which compressor parts, labor, refrigerant, travel and shipping are covered? Also record wear-item exclusions, required maintenance, remote diagnostic access, response targets and what coverage looks like after the first service period.
Quote questions
- Which exact configuration matches the quoted electrical supply?
- Which freight, rigging, installation and training tasks are included?
- Which local contractor tasks remain with the buyer?
- What room temperature and humidity limits apply?
- Who provides service at the destination ZIP code?
- What costs remain after the first service-plan period?
- Which financing term, rate, deposit and end state produce the advertised payment?
Audit the operating example before using payback
The Artica operating-cost guide, checked October 6, 2026, shows an example with USD 13,000 monthly revenue and USD 93 electricity, leaving USD 12,907 labeled as profit. That subtraction includes only the electricity bill. Rent, labor, marketing, service, insurance, fees and every other cost are missing.
Dividing the displayed Vortex price of USD 97,998 by that figure, 97,998 / 12,907, gives about 7.59 months. That is arithmetic on an incomplete example, not a real payback period. Rebuild the example with your own calendar and paid-session count, then run the ROI calculator with full recurring costs and downtime. Keep any supplier illustration next to its assumptions; it isn't evidence of local demand.
Evidence verdict
Artica's public prices and specifications are detailed enough for shortlist research. They don't show that any model has the lowest total cost or is the best product. A final comparison needs matched written quotes and evidence of service where you are.
Sources and limitations
This profile relies on official Artica product and comparison pages. Element and Vortex were rechecked on October 6, 2026; Ethos was checked on October 1. Independent owner evidence and contract-level verification are still incomplete.
